The oldest church in Northern Ontario. Construction began in 1845 and the church was consecrated in June of 1949.

This building, which now houses the museum, was once the jail for the village of Manitowaning.

The one room school occupies a log structure, and remains the same as when it was occupied by one teacher and her pupils that ranged from grades one thru eight.
